We like to think we're pretty hard-bitten, here at Holy Moly. Like a troupe of film noir detectives, nursing a glass of something strong, squinting through the cigarette smoke at the constant, endless supply of celebrity grot that passes us by on the conveyor belt of life. But even Holy Moly's atrophied heart can feel sad sometimes, and today it feels sad because of the report that Danny Dyer has cheated on his girlfriend.
Why does this news make us sad? Because we like to think of Danny Dyer as a nice man. A sweary one, yes, but nice. A nice man who has admitted to having made infidelious mistakes, and promised he wouldn't do it again. A changed man. A man who wouldn't do such a bad thing to Joanne. Not that we know them but...y'know.
But a student who talked to the Sunday Mirror says that she did do a sexy sex with Danny. And she has naked photographs of Danny Dyer himself to prove it. This is what her friend said to the paper:
"Danny clearly fancied her.
"He got chatting to her and was very flirty – and she was pretty flattered that someone famous was showing an interest.
"She certainly fancied him too, and found him very charming and likeable.
"She wasn't sure whether he had a partner when they started talking, but the conversation flowed really easily between them both and kept on almost all night.
"It really isn't the sort of thing that she would normally do, and she certainly wouldn't have taken pictures with a man, but was a bit starstruck and carried away in the moment.
"She couldn't believe she ended up in bed with someone like Danny Dyer as he could have had the pick of anyone.
"But she was disappointed at not hearing from him afterwards.
"She couldn't help sharing what had happened with me and other close friends.
"Some didn't believe her until she showed them the pictures.
"At the time she had no idea Danny was in a relationship but now she knows he is she realises it will be never anything other than a one night stand."

The report led to the last-minute cancellation of an event where Danny would have been signing a book titled The Films Of Danny Dyer, which makes him sound like a bloody auteur director if you ask us. Danny apologised for the cancellation and denied the claims of infidelity, Tweeting:
"Sorry 2 those who came 2 blue water today. I feel terrible. My family want 2 thank the Sunday Mirror 4 making this the best day ever #lies"
What to believe? Who to trust? We just don't know. What we do know is that the proof of the pudding is in the existence or otherwise of naked photographs of Danny Dyer.
