The 6ft 8in Romanian shot stopper has rejected a new deal at the Etihad Stadium and Wenger could pick him up on a free transfer.
Moreover, Pantilimon is thought to be keen to stay in the Premier League despite supposed interest from clubs in Italy and Spain.
Indeed, it remains to be seen whether Pantilimon will make a switch to City's title rivals in the summer.
