HOLLYWOOD — He swears it was pure coincidence, but when standup comedian Paul Mecurio decided to pick on a woman in his audience at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino last night, he’d found WPLG-Channel 10 early morning anchorwoman Kristi Krueger .
Kristi’s not necessarily known for her sense humor, but Mecurio tells me she was a good sport.
“I’m not from this area, so I didn’t know who she was,” said Mecurio, who spends a good part of his show talking with audience members. “But she was fantastic. The audience loved it.”

With Krueger, Mecurio quickly went into things that no one would think asking Krueger.
Like: “You’re an anchorwoman,” Mecurio said. “And you met your husband at the station. Did you guys ever do it on the anchor desk?”
In time, Mecurio got Krueger’s son Troy on the stage with him, eventually telling him: “Man, your mom’s hot. I’d bang her!”
Mecurio, by the way, is at the Palm Beach Improv in West Palm Beach through Saturday.
