BOYNTON BEACH — State Senator Joseph Abruzzo quietly got married in a Tallahassee courthouse before a handful of family members and friends.
The wife?
Former Honey of the Month and Boca Raton esthetician Brandy Smith.
Say what?
The 33-year-old Democrat’s new missus, Gossip Extra can reveal, once was an internet model who earned the distinction of being January 2010 Honey of the Month on the website of Baltimore radio’s Below The Belt Show.

And with the nomination came a bunch of modeling photos of Brandy, who went by her previous married name of Smith at the time, in plenty of suggestive, sexy poses and in various stages of undress.

“Well, I have an attractive wife,” Abruzzo said today, hours after his return from a wedding reception in his native Chicago. “She did those photos when she was younger. And I will stand by my wife no matter what.”
“I love her to death and I’m not going to not be with her because of that. I’ve always made a point never to attack an opponent’s family, so I hope my future opponents will show me the same courtesy.”
The lovebirds have been an item since 2012, shortly after Brandy went through a nasty divorce. She’s the mother of a young girl, Abruzzo said.
“She was temping for (State Rep.) Irv Slosberg and the first time I met her, I couldn’t get the words out of my mouth until I asked her to a Miami Heat game,” Abruzzo said. “I love her intelligence and Southern charm and wonderful heart.”
