The bottom line is basically that none of the Pussycat Dolls were having a particularly nice time when they were together - as not only have some of the 'backing' members made varying swipes at Nicole Scherzinger, but now Nicole Scherzinger's made a swipe at Nicole Scherzinger n'all. SAVE IT FOR THE BIG REUNION, GIRLS, PLEASE.
Speaking to The Guardian (*serious klaxon*) the 'Your Love' singer admitted she was so driven that she didn't know how to chill the F out. Says she:
"My 20s were fruitful but not enjoyable. Being in the Pussycat Dolls was probably my loneliest time because I was quite insatiable. Nothing was ever good enough and I didn't know how to take a break. My 30s have definitely been more chillaxed."
Still, there's nothing wrong with being ambitious - right, Nicole?
"I'm recklessly ambitious. In America, ambition is a good thing – it's hunger, it's drive. I hate it when people use the word negatively."
Quite.
Nicole's former bandmates have made no secret in the past of wanting to chuck the frontwoman under the bus. Carmit Bachar said a couple of years ago:
"Nicole was jealous of Ashley [Roberts]. She felt threatened by her—like people would prefer her because of the way she looked.
"I think Nicole got it into her head that she was the real star and would be better off on her own. She started travelling in her own tour bus and the divide between her and the rest us just got bigger. Nicole chose to isolate and alienate herself. There was constant bickering. Ashley was always the sensitive one back then. Nicole basically wanted to be front and centre all the time. We were expected to work our asses off to boost Nicole and her own career. The situation became unbearable."
We're not entirely sure which one Carmit was but CRIKEY CARMIT.
Anyway, it all seems to be rosy now, doesn't it, so that's nice.
