WEST PALM BEACH — A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office human resources specialist complained about the handling of private health care information of deputies — and ended up transferred to another job in the county jail, according to a lawsuit just filed against Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and the sprawling agency.

It’s yet another Gossip Extra exclusive: Seven-year PBSO civilian Sally Antosek says she wasn’t trained to work at the jail but has been stuck there as support staff specialist since March, according to the lawsuit.

Antosek claims in her whistleblower action that her supervisors retaliated against her for bringing to their attention that confidential medical records of deputies and other PBSO personnel were being placed in public files.

That’s something that Antosek claims is illegal and could expose PBSO to more lawsuits!

How does she know?

She learned through her training at PBSO, she says in the lawsuit!

As a result of her complaints, Antosek claims, she was immediately sent to work at the county lockup, where hardcore local and federal criminals can be housed for months.

This time, Anotsek says, she received no formal training.

Antosek says she did undergo self-defense classes, but those aggravated a previous physical disability.

Antosek’s lawyer has yet to comment.

PBSO honchos don’t discuss legal actions against the agency, and they have yet to answer the freshly-filed suit.

Retaliation, however, is nothing new at PBSO — if you believe current and past employees.

Often, PBSO sources who contact Gossip Extra request to remain anonymous because of what they describe as pervasive retaliation from supervisors.

Two years ago, PBSO bosses even went as far as setting up a sting operation to catch a ranking Internal Affairs lieutenant whom they accused of cooperating with Gossip Extra.
